To register on the EPFO portal, follow these steps:
- Visit the official EPFO website.
- Click on the "Member Portal" link under the "For Employees" category.
- Click on "Register" to proceed.
- Enter the required details and note that fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory. Choose any of the document from PAN number, Aadhar card, NPR (National Population Register), bank account number, Voter ID card, driving license, passport number, or Ration card number.
- Now input the characters shown in the text box and click on "GET PIN." The member must agree to the disclaimer by clicking the "I Agree" button and click "Submit".
- You will receive a pin on your registered mobile number, enter that PIN.
- You have successfully registered on EPFO portal, you can now login to EPFO by entering you document number and your registered mobile number.

- Visit the EPFO employer login page.
- Enter the username and password, then click on the 'Sign In' button
2. Steps to login to EPFO member portal for employees
- Visit the EPFO Unified Login portal.
- Click 'For Employees' under the 'Services' section.
- On the new dashboard, select "Member UAN/Online Services” within the 'Services' section or you can directly go to the EPFO Member Portal/e-SEWA Portal.
- Log in using your UAN (Universal Account Number) if it has been activated. If not, there is an option below the login section to activate UAN.
- Once your UAN is activated, you can log in to the EPFO member portal anytime.
How to reset your EPFO password?
To reset your EPFO password, follow these steps:
- Click on "Forgot Password" in the login section on the UAN member portal.
- Enter your UAN and captcha code.
- Provide your name, date of birth, gender, and click on "Verify."
- Enter the captcha code displayed, Aadhaar number, give consent for Aadhaar-based authentication, and click on "Verify."
- Enter your registered mobile number, give consent, and click on the "Get OTP" button.
- Enter the captcha code displayed on your screen and the OTP you received, then click on "Verify."
- Enter your desired new password, confirm the password, and click on "Submit." Now you can use this password to log in to the UAN portal.
