Its primary goal is to ensure beneficiaries receive top-notch medical treatment without the burden of upfront payments for critical illnesses that require hospitalisation, surgeries, or specialised therapies. How to register for MJPJAY scheme online?
You can follow the steps given below and register online for MJPJAY:
- Visit a nearby empanelled network hospital or attend health camps where Arogyamitras assist beneficiaries and provide referral letters based on diagnosis.
- Arogyamitras at network hospitals enroll patients, verifying valid ration cards and Photo IDs. Medical Coordinators capture admission notes and test results in the dedicated database.
- The hospital raises an e-preauthorisation request for eligible procedures under MJPJAY (996).
- Insurer's medical specialists review and approve pre-authorisations. Rejected requests are referred to a technical committee for review. ADHS-SHAS makes the final decision on approval or rejection.
- Ensure the procedure is performed within specified timelines, with a turnaround time of 12 hours for decisions. Emergency Telephonic Intimation (ETI) is used for urgent approvals.
- Receive cashless medical/ surgical treatment at the network hospital. The medical coordinator updates daily treatment notes on the portal.
- The network hospital uploads diagnostic reports, discharge summary, and payment acknowledgements. Follow-up procedures are communicated to patients upon discharge.
- Avail of free follow-up consultation, diagnostics, and medicines up to 10 days post-discharge.
- The insurer scrutinises bills and settles claims within 15 working days. The claim settlement module is part of the SHAS portal, operated by the insurer.
