Originally, Yezdi bikes were sold by Ideal Jawa (India) Ltd., an Indian motorcycle company that sold licensed Jawa motorbikes in the 1960s. Subsequently, these two-wheelers were sold under the brand name ‘Yezdi’ from 1973 onwards in the country. The company was founded in 1960 and stopped production in 1996. During this period, it manufactured several Yezdi motorcycles, including the Yezdi 250, Yezdi 250 Roadking, and Yezdi 350 Twin.
After more than two decades, Yezdi bikes were relaunched in 2022 under the brand Jawa Motorcycles by Mahindra & Mahindra via their Classic Legends subsidiary. This was made possible through a licensing deal struck by the company with JAWA Moto. The company now offers three Yezdi bikes: Roadster, Scrambler, and Adventure, all running on the same 334cc engine, with significant differences in their design, features, and hardware.
Thanks to their muscular bodies, classic designs, and uncompromising performance, Yezdi motorcycles are popular among Indian riders. Here is a closer look at the best-selling Yezdi bikes and their features.
