Track your PAN card status online

You can choose to track your PAN card application status online via the official TIN-NSDL website with your acknowledgement number. To do this, click here. Then, select ‘PAN-New/ Change Request’ under ‘Application type’. After keying in your acknowledgement number, click on the ‘Submit’ button.

Track your PAN card status through SMS

To track the status of your PAN card by SMS, send SMS ‘NSDLPAN 15-digit acknowledgement number’ to 57575. You will receive an SMS with the most recent update on your UTI PAN card application’s status. Remember to enter your acknowledgement number accurately.

Track your PAN card status by telephone

You can also choose to speak to a representative at the TIN centre to inquire about your PAN card status. To do so, keep your acknowledgement number handy and call 020-27218080. Once you speak to a representative, you will need to provide him/her with your acknowledgement number. Once you do so, you will get an update about the status of your PAN card application.

Track your PAN card status without the acknowledgement number

If you do not have your acknowledgement number handy, you can track your PAN card application status with your name and date of birth instead. To do so, use this form. Select ‘PAN-New/ Change Request’ under ‘Application Type’. Enter details including your first name, middle name and last name as mentioned on your PAN application. If you are an individual, enter your date of birth next. If you are checking the PAN status of a company, enter the date of incorporation and click on ‘Submit’.

Remember that you can track your PAN card three days after submitting your application. It takes around 72 hours for the information to reflect on the website, and so you may not get a result if you try any sooner.
