If a payment fails and your account is charged, there is no need to be concerned about the safety of your money. Typically, the amount is refunded within 3 to 5 business days after the payment was initiated. You can confirm the refund by checking your bank statement after 5 days.
The time it takes for banks to confirm the final status of pending payments varies widely and is entirely dependent on the bank. Typically, the confirmation process can take from 2 minutes to 48 hours from the time the payment was initiated.
We regret to inform you that you may not be able to cancel any pending transaction. Please note that the status may change to success or fail. For failed transactions, a refund will be initiated.
In this case, please contact us or you may raise a query following the steps mentioned below:
- Go to the passbook section and select ‘UPI TRANSACTION’
- Click on ‘QUICK HELP/FAQs’
- Click on ‘STILL HAVE QUERY’ at the bottom of the screen and follow the instructions given on the screen.
We regret to inform you that it is beyond the control of Bajaj Finance Limited to reverse a successfully executed transaction. We advise you to contact the recipient or beneficiary's bank to request a refund.
In most cases, if the payment is successful, the receiver should receive the amount by the next day for person-to-person transactions. However, for merchant payments, it may take up to 5 days for the money to reach the receiver's account.
To create your Wallet UPI ID, please follow the steps below:
- Click on 'WALLET' under 'BAJAJ PAY' from the hamburger menu
- Click on 'ACTIVATE NOW' mentioned under the banner ‘LINK BAJAJ PAY WALLET WITH UPI’
- Select the 'SIM CARD' linked to your Bajaj Pay Wallet and click on 'PROCEED'
- Your Wallet UPI ID will be generated within a few seconds

- Click on the 'SETTINGS' icon at the top right of the Wallet Home Screen
- Click on ‘LINK BAJAJ PAY WALLET WITH UPI’
- Select the 'SIM CARD' linked to your Bajaj Pay Wallet and click on 'PROCEED'
- Your Wallet UPI ID will be generated within a few seconds
To send money using your Wallet UPI ID, please follow these steps:
- Click on 'WALLET' under 'BAJAJ PAY' at the top of the Home Screen
- Click on ‘PAY’ at the top left of the screen
- Scan the QR code
- Verify the beneficiary's details
- Enter the amount and click on 'PAY'
- Complete your transaction through the preferred Second Factor Authorization (Fingerprint, MPIN and OTP etc.)

- Click on ‘PAY’ at the top left of the screen
- Enter the beneficiary UPI ID and verify the details
- Enter the amount and click on 'PAY'
- Complete your transaction through the preferred Second Factor Authorization (Fingerprint, MPIN and OTP etc.)
To request money using your Wallet UPI ID, please follow these steps:
- Click on 'WALLET' under 'BAJAJ PAY' at the top of the Home Screen
- Click on the 'SETTINGS' icon at the top right of the screen
- Under 'MANAGE WALLET UPI ID', click on ‘VIEW ALL REQUEST’
- Scroll to the 'SENT' section
- Click on 'REQUEST' at the bottom right of the screen
- Enter the payer UPI ID and click on 'PROCEED'
- Enter the amount and optional comments (if any)
- Verify details and click on 'SEND REQUEST'
