- Date of Birth proof: Provide evidence of your birth date
Documents required for Aadhaar enrolment and update
Here are the documents required for Aadhaar enrolment and update:
For children (0-5 years)
1. Proof of Relationship (POR) document containing name of child and name of Head of Family (HoF):
- Birth Certificate issued by Authorised Authority (in the respective States) under the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969, along with the Registration of Births and Deaths Rules 1999/2000/2002 of respective States.
- Indian/Foreign Passport (for children born outside India).
- Passport of Nepal/Bhutan for Nepal/Bhutan nationals. If a passport is not available, submit both of the following:
- Nepalese/Bhutanese Citizenship Certificate.
- Limited validity Photo Identity Certificate issued by the Nepalese Mission/Royal Bhutanese Mission in India for stays exceeding 182 days.
2. Proof of Identity (PoI) document containing name and photograph (for Head of the Family-based enrolment):
- Indian Passport.
- Photo Identity Card/Certificate with a photograph issued by Central Govt./State Govt. (e.g., Domicile Certificate, Resident Certificate, etc.).
For individuals above 5 years
- Proof of Identity (PoI) document containing name and photograph.
- Proof of Address (PoA) document containing name and Indian address.
Commonly accepted documents for address proof include:
- Passport
- Passbook or bank statement
- Account statement or passbook of the post office
- Ration card
- Voter Identification card
- Driving licence
- Photo identification cards issued by the government
- PSU issued Service photo ID card with the address
Charges for Aadhaar services at ASK
Residents must pay the fees set by UIDAI to access Aadhaar Services at any Aadhaar Seva Kendra (ASK) they prefer. The charges, inclusive of applicable taxes, are outlined as follows:
- Aadhaar enrolment: Free
- Mandatory biometric update for children (at ages 5 and 15 years): Free
- Any Biometric update with/without demographic update*: Rs. 100
- Only demographic update by residents: Rs. 50
- Download Aadhaar and coloured print: Rs. 30
Note: An update of more than one field in a single instance is considered one update.
